PPMS
At the simplest level PPMS provides a web-based client interface available from anywhere, accessed by secure (SSL) log in to reserve use of facility resources in a calendar based interface. However, PPMS goes far beyond this, in the advanced resource management features it offers, and the way these features are embodied. PPMS boasts an intuitive browser experience for users and facility staff alike at every step.
For the facility users, communication is optimized with up to date information on maintenance, problems, and cancellations. RSS feeds and iCal allow easy smart-phone synchronization, and automated notifications alert specific users and facility team members of problems and cancellations as they are happening. PPMS provides users interactive tools so they can report technical problems, request trainings, and acknowledge publications all through the same simple web interface.
For the facility staff, the powerful yet simple utility of PPMS is a boon to the facility team and management support. Administrative burden is eased, if not completely relieved. Integrated features allow the facility teams to define each user with a profile giving rights to access resources, and equipment across multiple facilities. Multiplexed pricing rules allow different prices to be applied to individual systems in a user, group, time or project defined manner. Tools for incident reporting, service history and maintenance management bring users and facility team on to the same page, by providing a common, transparent process.
User-training request & validation, advanced project management and dynamic analytics in a dashboard for monitoring statistics ensure that all activity parameters are available to assess performance of all elements either independently, by group, project or globally.
The most powerful, and unique core-design feature of PPMS is its scalability. One instance of PPMS is all that is required to allow an unlimited numbers of facilities to operate independently, creating literally what works best for them, while at the administrative and systems level the database brings all the information and usage history together and available to coordinators at a glance. It is common to configure a single PPMS database to run, for example, ten different facilities independently, with seven hundred users, with no performance loss. Not a problem! To the contrary, this is what the software was bred to do.
